Bus Trip - July 15th

July 15th
9am - 6:30pm 

Bus trip to visit Wild Things Plant Farm, Mapleton Organic Dairy Farm, Floral and Hardy and 2 private gardens in Fergus. 

Wild Things Plant farm is a garden of North American native plants.

At the Mapleton Farm we will take a wagon ride and tour the demonstration barn, view 4 acres of Community Supported Agriculture garden, a store selling organic meat, yogurt, cheese and ice cream and more. Lunch there will be salad and variety of sandwiches, all organic. Bring a cooler if you plan on buying food.

At Floral and Hardy you will have a chance to view over 3200 registered daylilies, 450 Hosta cultivars, and 138 Heuchera cultivars.

Cost: $60 includes lunch but not gratuities or drinks

Quarry - A decision that will affect us all

If you are not already aware - it is time to find out more about the proposed quarry in Melancthon township just north of Shelburne.

If you don't want your water source to change, farmland to disappear and the traffic through our little town to dramatically increase please add you name to this petition.
