Did you know that certain types of household plants can actually clean the air in your home?

There was a study done by NASA on the ability of household plants to clean toxins and chemicals out of the air. The information from the studies has been published in a book called "How to Grow Fresh Air Plants" by B. C. Wolverton.

The research showed that the plants could remove VOC's (these come from cleaning products, carpets, off-gassing from foams and plastics), formaldehyde, benzene, pesticides, carbon monoxide.

Studies show that rooms filled with houseplants typically contain between 50% and 60% fewer mold spores and bacteria.
